Impeachment complaints filed against President Arroyo in 2006


Eight impeachment complaints were filed against President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in 2006. When the House committee on justice opened the impeachment proceedings, it junked seven of the eight complaints and recognized only the eight complaint. On August 24, 2006, the congressmen voted 173-32 with one abstention after an overnight marathon debate to dismiss the impeachment complaint.
