Witness in Julie Ann Rodelas slay included in charges

A "suspect-turned-witness" in the killing of model and TV talent Julie Ann Rodelas has been included by prosecutors in the list of suspects facing murder charges for the gruesome crime. Jaymar Waradji was included in the resolution of Assistant City Prosecutor Alessandro Jurado, radio dzBB reported early Friday. Quezon City police investigators are considering making Waradji a state witness due to the information he provided that helped them crack the case. No bail was recommended for Waradji's temporary liberty, the report said. Also facing murder charges are Fernando Quiambao Jr. and Althea Altamirano, whose relationship with the victim was described by police as a case of "frenemies" [friends-enemies]. The report added Waradji was initially not included in the list of suspects to be charged due to the lack of evidence regarding his participation in the crime. On the other hand, the report said the Quezon City Police District said he can still be a state witness since he can provide much information to bolster their case. Information provided by Waradji had helped police produce last Wednesday sketches of two more suspects in last week's murder of Rodelas. Police are still tracking down the two – one of them identified as Efren Talib and described as 20 to 25 years old, medium-built, fair-complexioned, and 5'5" to 5'6" tall. A second suspect, identified as Aldos, was described as 27 years old, brown-complexioned, medium-built, and 5'7" tall. — LBG, GMA News
