Cedric Lee denies hand in 3rd rape complaint vs. Vhong Navarro

Controversial businessman Cedric Lee has denied any involvement in the surfacing of a woman who claimed to have been raped by television host-actor Vhong Navarro, according to a television report on Friday night.

"Lahat na lang ba ang ni-rape niya, ako ang nasa likod? Sa dami nun, lahat ako nasa likod? Ang galing ko naman...," Lee was quoted by GMA's late-night news program "Saksi" as saying.

A third rape complaint was filed against TV host-actor Vhong Navarro, this time by a stuntwoman who once worked with him, a report on GMA News TV's “Quick Response Team” said Friday.

The complaint was filed Thursday before the Quezon City Prosecutor's Office, it said.

Citing the victim's affidavit, the report said the alleged incident happened in September 2009 inside a sports utility vehicle (SUV). The victim, who was not identified, said Navarro only stopped with his sexual assault when she threatened to hurt him.

Navarro was first slapped with a rape complaint by model Deniece Cornejo in January. This was after Navarro filed charges against Cedric Lee and several others in connection with the mauling of the actor-host on Jan. 22.

The mauling incident happened inside Cornejo's condominium unit in Taguig City after Vhong allegedly tried to rape Cornejo.

Navarro's counsel, lawyer Alma Mallonga, on Friday said the actor's camp is yet to receive a copy of the third complaint, but added they are ready to file a counter-affidavit.

“The new complaint for rape against Vhong is expected. We expect more, especially as the DOJ nears resolution of the complaint for non-bailable crime of Serious Illegal Detention filed by Vhong against Cedric, Deniece and several others,” Mallonga said in a text message sent to GMA News.

In February, beauty contestant Roxanne Acosta Cabanero also filed a similar complaint against the actor. — Amanda Fernandez /LBG, GMA News
