Motorists advised to expect heavy traffic as safety net in Makati construction breaks
Authorities advised motorists to expect heavy traffic in the business district of Makati City on Monday after a safety net at a construction site gave way, a report on Unang Balita said.
The safety net in front of a condominium being built on Legazpi Street and Dela Rosa Street gave way before 3 a.m. Monday, GMA News' Bam Alegre reported.

Heavy rain poured over Metro Manila at the time the safety net gave way.
The safety net was put up to catch debris that may fall from the building project being built.
The area has already been cordoned off while investigation is ongoing, the report said.
As of noontime on Monday, workers were still fixing the safety net.

Lito Acuyong, a vendor at a nearby food stall, said they heard a loud sound after heavy rain poured before 3 a.m. but they did not know initially where the sound came from. —KG, GMA News
