Korean national arrested for allegedly molesting 2 minors, cries foul over ‘setup’

A Korean national claiming to be a lawyer was apprehended after two teenagers were seen fleeing from his car in Parañaque City.

Vonne Aquino reporting for Unang Balita on Thursday identified the man as Sing Hun Bae.

Bae is seen angrily yelling in Filipino in a barangay hall past midnight, shouting, "Huwag kayo ganito dahil sa foreigner. Huwag kayo setup ng ganito! This is a setup!"

One of the teenagers, 15, said that they were walking along President Avenue when Bae stopped to ask for directions from his car. According to her, Bae requested that they board his vehicle.

"Sabi niya, puwede mo ba akong samahan kasi wala naman daw po siyang gagawin sa amin. Sumama na lang po kami," she said.

The teen said that Bae began making lewd requests after they parked at a gas station.

"Dito na po kami. Sabi niya, 'Wait lang, puwede bang maano...amoyin 'yong paa mo,'" she recounted.

She rejected his request and he responded by taking out his private parts and asking them to touch it. They threatened to report him, which caused him to panic and unlock the door.

The pair dashed out of the car and was seen by barangay officials.

"Nakita namin 'yong dalawang bata, tumatakbo," Kagawad Rey Casanova said. "Huhulihin sana namin 'yong dalawang bata."

Casanova shared that Bae seemed heavily intoxicated and began shouting the moment he left his car.

Bae dismissed all of the accusations and said that he offered the teenagers a ride because he was headed the same way. "Wala akong ginagawa. Tingnan mo sila 'yong katawan nila. Wala naman nasaktan sila."

Casanova, meanwhile, reminded parents to mind their children and make sure that they aren't wandering the streets late at night. —Aya Tantiangco/KG/KVD, GMA News
