Duterte supporters to converge at Plaza Miranda

The supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte are also going out of the streets to express their support for the Chief Executive on Thursday, the National Day of Protest.

Presidential Communications Operations Office Sec. Martin Andanar in a radio interview on Wednesday said that various groups supportive of Duterte organized a rally at Plaza Miranda.

“Alam ko ang oposisyon po ay may protesta dito sa may Luneta at nabalitaan ko rin po na tuloy na rin po iyong protesta din na gagawin ng mga grupo na sumusuporta din naman sa ating mahal na Pangulo dito sa may Plaza Miranda yata,” he said in a radio interview.

Pro-Duterte groups that would attend the rally include Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan, Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte National Executive Coordinating Committee, Kilusang Pagbabago, Digong Duterte Supporters, Andanar cited.

Social Security System commissioner Jose Gabriel “Pompee” Laviñan, who was Duterte’s social media head during the campaign, also posted about the event on his Facebook page. — BAP, GMA News
