MRT3 train stops between Ortigas, Shaw stations; operations halted
The Metro Rail Transit Line 3's operations halted during the peak hours on Tuesday morning after a train stalled between Ortigas and Shaw Boulevard stations in Mandaluyong City.
GMA News' Bernadette Reyes said passengers at the Taft Avenue Station were being told that no trains are running the line as of past 7 a.m.

At the other end of MRT3 at the North Avenue Station, Super Radyo dzBB's Allan Gatus reported that a longer queue was already forming at around 7:20 a.m. due to the stalled train.
The MRT3's operation was halted after a southbound train stalled in the middle of Ortigas and Shaw Boulevard stations shortly before 7 a.m..
Hundreds of passengers were forced to get off the train and walk along the tracks to the stations.

The Department of Transportation said the train stopped due to an electrical failure in the braking system.
The MRT3's operation has resumed as of 9 a.m.. —ALG, GMA News
