QC gov't sets up 'pop huts' for flood victims

Temporary shelters or "op huts" in Barangay Bagong Silang in Quezon City for flood victims.

The Quezon City government set up at least 54 temporary shelters or "pop huts" in Barangay Bagong Silang for evacuees, GMA News' James Agustin reported.

Barangay officials said they will prioritize residents whose homes were damaged by the floods.

Each shelter, which has two doors and two windows, can house up to four people or depending on the number of family members.

Quezon City was one of the hardest hit areas of monsoon rains and the resulting flood over the weekend. — BAP, GMA News
