Cop arrested in Taguig buy-bust operation

A police officer has been arrested in a buy bust operation in Bicutan, Taguig City after his colleagues acted on a complaint by his wife, Bam Alegre reported in Unang Balita.

PO1 Jeffrey Amador, who tested positive for drug use, was arrested on Wednesday evening in a buy bust operation.

Confiscated from the suspect were five sachets of suspected shabu, a firearm, and shabu.

Amador received a severe scolding by the highest ranking official of the Philippine National Police (PNP) himself, Director General Oscar Albayalde.

"'Yung NBI ni-refer sa 'tin 'yung kaso and we conducted entrapment operations. Nag-positive na nabtutulak 'yung asawa," Albayalde said.

Michelle Amador, the suspect's wife, said he would hurt her whenever they fight about his activities.

Amador was previously assigned to PCP 1 in Taguig City and was also allegedly involved in robbery extortion.

"Very frustrating and disappointing kung bakit nakakapasok sa hanay," Albayalde said.

Amador will be facing administrative charges as well as violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. — BAP, GMA News
