Blogger Olivar faces police probe over bomb scare post

Authorities in Metro Manila will investigate blogger Drew Olivar over an alleged bomb scare post in his social media account.

National Capital Region Police Office chief Director Guillermo Eleazar told GMA News Online that the NCRPO planned to question Olivar over a Facebook post about a supposed bomb threat on rallies that would be held on EDSA.

"We will investigate the reported alleged bomb scare posted by Drew Olivar in the social media," Eleazar said.

"Relatedly, Mocha Uson volunteered to accompany Olivar in my office tomorrow at 1 p.m. to shed light on the matter," he added.

The presidential communications assistant secretary has said that she would guide Olivar in his social media posts after their video that appeared to mock sign language led to a suit against them before the Ombudsman.

Both Uson and Olivar have apologized for the video. —Margaret Claire Layug/NB, GMA News
