Maynilad: Parts of NCR, Cavite to experience water interruption on Holy Week

Residents in parts of Metro Manila and Cavite may have to brace for water service interruptions during the Holy Week, water concessionaire Maynilad said.

In an advisory, Maynilad said the water interruption stemmed from the Department of Public Works and Highways' efforts to address perennial flooding in Manila.

According to Maynilad, an interceptor drainage box culvert to be constructed by the DPWH along Blumentritt Street will cross Maynilad's water pipe along Juan Luna and Hermosa Streets, "so we must re-align our pipe prior to the implementation of the said DPWH project."

"We will need 72 hours to expose, dewater, re-align and energize our pipe because it is a seven-foot-tall primary line," it added.

It urged affected customers to store enough water for the duration of this service interruption, and to contact its hotline at 1626.?
