Resorts World Manila pledges P1M for each family of victims killed in 'senseless' attack

The Resorts World Manila on Saturday announced that it give P1 million to the family of each victim killed during the attack early Friday.

"Nothing can replace the lives of loved ones. Yesterday we lost so many lives because of a sense less act," Resorts World Manila chief operating officer Stephen Reilly said in a press conference.

Reilly said they are hoping that the financial assistance will somehow help families who lost loved ones during the attack go through "this most difficult time."

The Southern Police District said a total of 38 people died during the attack early Friday. The gunman, whose identity has yet to be determined by the police, was among the fatalities.

The wife of Pampanga Rep. Aurelio "Dong" Gonales Jr. was also among those who died. —ALG, GMA News
