Trillanes, De Lima to face raps over Aquino’s DAP —Duterte

Senators Antonio Trillanes IV and Leila De Lima will soon face cases related to the Aquino administration's distribution of fund allocations under the discredited Disbursement Acceleration Program, President Rodrigo Duterte has said.

Duterte said in a PTV-4 interview on Tuesday night that Trillanes would face a DAP-related case while he mentioned the case that would be filed against De Lima in a speech in Malacañang.

“Sauce for the gander, sauce for the goose. Walang yellow pa na naano ngayon except De Lima, but she has a case coming up also sa DAP. I could not believe really... Grabe itong babaeng ito. Talagang kapal sa kapal,” Duterte said.

He did not provide specifics.

Duterte made the pronouncement when he awarded outstanding government workers and groups in Malacañang and slammed those who were yet to prosecute the “yellows” in government.  Yellow is the color of the opposition, Liberal Party.

“Pilipino, niloloko kayo ng isang tao na pinag-aral ninyo sa Academy, Philippine Military Academy. ‘Yun ‘yung nagwala diyan sa Makati, tapos he pictured himself to be a righteous one,” Duterte said on Tuesday over PTV-4.

“Inaatake niya ‘yang si Arroyo for corruption. Only to join a corrupt regime at nagkaroon ng deposito ngayon. So saan ka nagkuha ng 196 kung mahirap ka? Wala siyang bank account. Ibig sabihin pati sa Pilipinas, wala kang bank account? Sa Senador mo, wala kang isang bangko lang na dinedepositahan mo? Saan pala ‘yung kinita mo sa DAP?” he added.

The Supreme Court ruled that certain acts under the DAP were unconstitutional in 2014. De Lima was still the Justice Secretary during that year.

In May, Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II linked De Lima and Trillanes as well as Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon and former budget secretary Florencio Abad to the pork barrel scam. —NB, GMA News
