Cayetano requested Mocha Uson to join him at the UN General Assembly — Andanar

Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Martin Andanar on Wednesday said Assistant Sec. Mocha Uson flew to New York and attend the United Nations General Assembly upon the request of Foreign Affairs Sec. Alan Peter Cayetano.

Andanar, in a radio interview, was asked for a statement on the reason Uson was not suspended after she performed at a casino when government workers are barred from visiting gambling establishments. 

He said that as a presidential appointee, Uson would be under the jurisdiction of President Rodrigo Duterte. 

Uson's case was forwarded to the Office of the President, specifically to the Office of the Deputy Executive Secretary for Legal Affairs.

"Dahil legally, sa kanila po iyong jurisdiction. So sila na po ang magdedesisyon noon. And while that is happening, eh kailangang magtrabaho ni Mocha, eh pinapasuwelduhan siya di ba," Andanar said.

"And she was really requested by the Office of Secretary Cayetano na sumama doon sa New York para mag-cover," he added.

Uson left Manila for New York on Monday, according to a post on her Facebook page.

In another video, she was seen with Thinking Pinoy's RJ Nieto, a pro-Duterte online personality. Nieto was previously appointed as a consultant of the Department of Foreign Affairs. — BAP, GMA News
