Noynoy Aquino, Leni lead LP stalwarts in anti-Martial Law event in UP


 

 

 

 

Former President Benigno Aquino III and Vice President Leni Robredo are among those in attendance at a mass commemorating the 45th anniversary of the declaration of martial law at the University of the Philippines  on Thursday.

Anti-extrajudicial killings group Tindig Pilipinas offered a mass for the victims of human rights violations during the Martial Law regime of the late strongman Ferdinand Marcos.

Senators Franklin Drilon, Francis Pangilinan and Bam Aquino and former senator Mar Roxas, all from the Liberal Party, are also in attendance.

The Parish of the Holy Sacrifice in the University of the Philippines Diliman is filled to capacity with members of Tindig Pilipinas, advocates and even beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program. —NB/JST, GMA News
