Duterte leads inauguration of housing project for Scout Rangers

SAN MIGUEL, Bulacan—President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday led the groundbreaking ceremony for a housing project for the elite Scout Rangers of the Philippine Army.

The site of the Scout Ranger Ville sits on a 50-hectare land of the Manila Banking Corporation here in Barangays Calumpang and Tartaro-Sibul.

The Department of Budget and Management allocated a P200-million subsidy to finance the construction of 1,000 120-square meter housing units for the members of the 1st Scout Ranger Regiment.

The project is classified under the AFP/PNP Housing Program as agreed upon Manilabank, DBM, National Housing Authority, Pag-IBIG Fund, Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council, and the Scout Ranger Multi-Purpose Cooperative. —NB, GMA News
