FOURTH QUARTER POLL

Duterte’s net trust rating back up to ‘excellent’ +75 in December —SWS

President Rodrigo Duterte's net trust rating rebounded from a decline in the third quarter to an "excellent" +75 percentage points in the fourth quarter of 2017, the Social Weather Stations found in a survey conducted from December 8 to 16.

The SWS' 2017 fourth quarter survey showed that 83 percent of the respondents had much trust for Duterte and seven percent had little trust for the Chief Executive.

According to SWS, Duterte's net trust rating (percentage of much trust minus the percentage of little trust, correct rounded) is considered "excellent."

SWS said his +75 rating pushed Duterte up by one grade from "very high" when he received a +60 net trust in the September 2017 survey.

It also caused Duterte to rebound after his trust rating fell +15 points in September from +75 in June.

"Except in September 2017, Pres. Duterte's net trust rating has been excellent since he became President," SWS said on its website.

"It was a moderate +16 when SWS first asked about it in December 2015, and stayed at moderate levels up to March 30-April 2, 2016," it added.

According to the SWS, the net trust rating grades are as follows: +70 and above, "excellent"; +50 to +69, "very good"; +30 to +49, "good"; +10 to +29, "moderate", +9 to -9, "neutral"; -10 to -29, "poor"; -30 to -49, "bad"; -50 to -69, "very bad"; -70 and below, "execrable". —NB, GMA News
