Palace spokesman delighted by Duterte-impersonating cabbie

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque Jr. only had good words to say to the taxi driver who nailed an impersonation of President Rodrigo Duterte down to a T.

At a press briefing in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, Roque said he was delighted by Davao City-based Elcias Bugsad, who was recorded in a viral video as sounding uncannily like the tough-talking Chief Executive.

"Natutuwa naman ako sa kaniya at nagbibigay siya ng ligaya sa ating taong bayan," said Roque.

The cabbie was seen in a now-viral video as delivering what sounded like a speech of the President, down to the voice and the accent, much to the amusement of his laughter-stricken passengers.

According to a report on Balitanghali, the video of Bugsad has reached over three million views on Facebook. — MDM, GMA News
