Kiko says nothing to be jealous about Sharon-Gabby reunion project

Senator Francis Pangilinan has nothing but full support for his wife, megastar  Sharon Cuneta, regarding her "reunion" with former husband Gabby Concepcion for a fast-food chain commercial, saying that there is nothing he should be jealous about the project.

In a radio interview on Saturday, Pangilinan said he is "too old" for envy, and that spouses should always be supportive of each other.

Magti-twenty-two years na kaming kasal. So… ang mahalaga diyan is support," he added.

Cuneta recently teamed up with her ex-husband for a reunion project, "Kumusta Ka," a Valentine's Day short which focuses on two estranged lovers meeting up for the first time after a long while.

The singer-actress was married to Concepcion from 1984 to 1987, while Pangilinan has been together with Cuneta since 1996.

Pangilinan said he has no problem with the project as it would help in Cuneta's career growth.

"Andiyan ‘yung aking support. The same," he said.

"She will also need my understanding and my support. And she has it.

The senator likewise said he has no qualms if ever Cuneta and Concepcion reunite again for a movie.

"Nasa sa kanila ‘yan at kung ‘yan naman ang clamor talaga ng public, ‘yan naman ay trabaho nila and it will be a boost sa kani-kanilang mag profession, why not?" he said.

"And importante you know there is fulfillment. She has my 110 percent support and I’m very proud of her commitment and dedication sa kaniyang trabaho," he added.  —Erwin Colcol/LBG, GMA News
