President Rodrigo Duterte made several appointments last week to different government agencies including the departments of the Interior and Local Government, Labor, and Energy, according to documents released by Malacañang on Tuesday.

Interior Assistant Secretary for Plans and Programs Epimaco Densing III was promoted to undersecretary, replacing John Castriciones who is now the acting secretary of the Department of Agrarian Reform.

Also named undersecretaries were Renato Ebarle (Labor) and retired Vice Admiral Alexander Lopez (Energy).

Special envoys to China--Fernando Borja and William Lima--were reappointed for a six-month term starting July 1 until December 31, 2018.

The President previously reappointed Cheng Yong as special envoy to the Asian power.

Duterte also reappointed Manila Times chairman emeritus Dante Ang as special envoy for international public relations for a six-month term covering May 1 to October 31, 2018.
