Trillanes challenges Duterte to IQ test

Senator Antonio Trillanes IV on Monday challenged President Rodrigo Duterte to an IQ (intelligence quotient) test after the President questioned his level of intelligence.

"Just to settle the matter, I am challenging Duterte to an IQ test," Trillanes said in a press statement, adding he will resign as senator if the President can get a higher score than him.

"Kahit plus 10 pa sya, pag mas mataas score n'ya sakin, magreresign ako sa pagka-Senador," the opposition lawmaker said.

Trillanes said Duterte's alleged failure to address the problems in the country is a proof that he has low IQ.

"Siya nga itong wala nang maisip na solusyon sa mga problema ng bayan kasi aminado siyang mahina ang kokote n'ya," he said.

Trillanes issued the statement hours after Duterte, in an interview with reporters after attending the Araw ng mga Bayani program in Taguig City, claimed that the senator has low IQ.

Trillanes is a former Navy officer who gained prominence for leading unsuccessful attempts to topple the Arroyo administration. He had earlier claimed that Duterte is the "laziest, craziest and the worst president this country ever had." —Amita Legaspi/KBK, GMA News
