Duterte to have 'showbiz-type' presscon with co-host Panelo

President Rodrigo Duterte will have a "showbiz-type" type press conference with presidential legal counsel Salvador Panelo for his address to the nation on Tuesday.

Special Assistant to the President Bong Go made the characterization while speaking to reporters on Monday.

"Ang plano nga si Atty. Panelo ang kanyang co-host… itatanong ko mamaya kung matutuloy yun. So medyo magiging showbiz type po ito na presscon," said Go.

"Idea ni Atty. Panelo yung pagset… so it will be a glamorous discussion," he added.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque earlier said no specific topic has been set for the press conference, which is slated for 3 p.m. in the presidential palace.

"He announced in Davao that he wants to speak to the nation. That's tomorrow. Let's wait for tomorrow," Roque said. —JST, GMA News
