Group urges full-blown probe into solon's Gluta-drip sessions

The Pinoy Aksyon for Governance and Environment has called for a "full-blown and transparent" committee investigation on the "highly unethical activities" of MAYA Party-list Representative Tricia Nicole Velasco-Catera.

In a letter addressed to House Ethics Committee Chairperson Delphine Gan Lee, Pinoy Aksyon called for a full-blown investigation on Catera's activities, which it earlier called "unbecoming" of a lawmaker.

Pinoy Akysyon Chairperson BenCy Allorin earlier filed an ethics complaint against Catera over her activities which supposedly included Gluta-drip sessions done in her office during official time.

"We however thought that since it is a public interest issue, a full blow and transparent committee investigation should be in place," said Allorin.

"Now is the time for the party-list system to [be] cleansed, rectified, and restored to its original mandate as the platform in Congress where the poor and marginalized can put forward their legislative and development agenda," he said. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/LBG, GMA News
