President Duterte closely monitors areas expected to be hit by Typhoon Rosita – Palace

Malacañang  said on Monday that it is closely watching over the provinces that are likely to be affected by the onslaught of Typhoon Rosita.

"The President is closely monitoring the areas likely to be hit by Typhoon Rosita," Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said in a statement.

He said the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has stockpiles and standby funds amounting to P1,383,632,340.48 as of October 29.

Panelo also advised the public to remain vigilant, monitor latest weather advisories available in government social media accounts, and coordinate with the local authorities for appropriate and responsive action.

Rosita is expected to make a landfall over the southern Isabela-northern Aurora area on Tuesday morning between 5 a.m. to 7 a.m.

According to PAGASA, the typhoon is likely to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Wednesday evening. — Dona Magsino/ LDF, GMA News
