Unknown Pinay teen to sing opposite Jessica Sanchez at Pacquiao fight

But Kirby Asunto who?  Both will have equal billing as teen-age singers of national anthems at one of the sporting world's biggest events of the year, the Manny Pacquiao-Timothy Bradley Jr. title bout this Saturday, June 9 (June 10 in Manila). Sanchez, 16, shot to fame in American Idol. A Filipino-Mexican-American from California, she will sing the US national anthem. The Philippine-born Asunto, a 14-year-old middle school student in New Jersey, got her biggest break when she was picked by Pacquiao to sing Lupang Hinirang. Sanchez will sing first. — GMA News
