3 dead, 2 wounded in Pampanga massacre

Three siblings were killed while two of their cousins were wounded after a caretaker of their family fishpond attacked them in Candaba town in Pampanga province Tuesday.

Radio dzRH reported the bodies of the victims were discovered in their house in Candaba town at 5 a.m.. The police have started a manhunt for the suspect, identified only as Rodel. Police identified the fatalities as Sorato Labsan, 28; and siblings Ariel, 19; and Jaramie, 14. Rushed to a hospital were their cousins Jaide Labsan, 13; and Jaime Labsan, 14. The report quoted the police as saying that the suspect used an axe and a knife to attack the victims. Police suspect Rodel may have attacked the victims after being spurned by Jaramie. Investigators are analyzing forensic evidence to see if Rodel sexually assaulted Jaramie. Candaba Mayor Jerry Pelayo condemned the incident and ordered police to bring the suspect to justice. - KBK, GMANews.TV
