Black bugs occupy town plaza in North Cotabato

Thousands of black bugs have occupied the plaza of M'lang town in North Cotabato.

A report on "Unang Balita" on Friday morning said the town plaza seemed to be an abandoned place, but it looked okay from a distance.

But a closer look, the report added, one could see that black bugs covering the palza's grounds and cemented areas.

The town's folk believe the bugs came from rice fields in neighboring towns.

Attacks by black bugs on rice fields in Kidapawan City in Cotabato province had also been erported.

Earlier reports also indicated that black bugs attacked rice fields in Ormoc City in Leyte in Central Visayas. — LBG, GMA News
