Local gov't offers P100k reward for information that could lead to arrest of suspects behind Bulacan massacre


The local government of San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan is offering P100,000 for information that could lead to the arrest of those behind the massacre of a family of five on Tuesday.

City Mayor Arthur Robes announced the reward on Wednesday.

"Magbibigay ng pabuya si San Jose del Monte Mayor Arthur Robes ng P100,000, pabuya sa sinumang makapagbibigay ng impormasyon para sa ikahuhuli ng suspek o mga suspek sa karumaldumal na pagpatay sa mga miyembro ng pamilya Carlos kahapon," San Jose del Monte City Rep. Florida Robes said in a text message.

Security guard Dexter Carlos discovered the bodies of his mother-in-law, wife and three children, including a one-year old, when he returned home from work on Tuesday.

Superintendent Fitz Macariola, acting city police chief, said investigators believe that the crime was carried out by at least two persons.

Macariola said two persons of interest have been invited by the police and more are being eyed for questioning, based on Carlos' request.

Carlos mentioned that  that some men have been frequenting their compound to do odd jobs like fetch water for neighbors at Block 1, Lot 8, Northridge Subdivision in Barangay Santo Cristo.

Police believe that the people responsible for the gruesome crime were high on drugs at the time. —ALG/KVD, GMA News
