PNP CHIEF SAYS

‘Vigilantes likely behind deaths of persons of interest in Bulacan massacre’

PNP chief Director General Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa on Wednesday said vigilantes could be behind the killings of the two persons of interest linked to the massacre of a security guard's family in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.

"Most likely, most likely. Malaman natin yan 'pag nahuli na, ma-establish siya kung sino," Dela Rosa told reporters after the oathtaking ceremony and donning of ranks of star rank officers in Camp Crame.

Two persons of interest identified as Ronaldo Pacinos alias Inggo, and Rosevelt Sorema alias Ponga, were linked to the deaths of Auring Dizon, her daughter Estrella, and Estrella's children inside their house in North Ridge Royale Subdivision last week.

Pacinos was found dead on Tuesday with five stab wounds in different parts of the body and had four of his fingers chopped off. A car's fan belt was also wrapped around his neck.

Sorima, on the other hand, was shot inside his residence in San Jose del Monte on Wednesday. He was said to be a brother-in-law of the arrested suspect Carmelino "Miling" Ibañes.

"Somebody who is aggrieved, somebody who is galit na galit sa ginagawa nila. That could be somebody na hindi natin masabi na kung sino yang mga tao na 'yan. Kaya nga pai-imbestigahan sa mga pulis," Dela Rosa said. —NB/KG, GMA News
