Autopsy shows 17-year-old Baguio student neither shot nor stabbed

The 17-year-old high school student who was found dead in a Baguio City creek suffered neither stab wounds nor gunshot wounds, his brother said on Thursday night.

Vaughn Carl Dicang, a Grade 12 student of the University of Baguio Science High School, went missing on Friday last week before his body was found in the creek in Barangay Balacbac, where he was last seen alive.

According to his brother Van Dicang, the autopsy report indicated that Vaughn's head hit rocks in the creek after he fell from the bridge.

His family remains stumped how he ended up in the creek where his body was found in an advanced stage of decomposition days after he was last seen alive.

Vaughn's cellphone and tablet have yet to be recovered.

Investigation showed Vaughn went out of their house around 9 a.m. of September 1.

He was last seen wearing a gray jacket and dark pants, carrying a red backpack.

Vaughn was with his friends until he left to go home in the afternoon. However, he did not make it home.  —NB, GMA News
