PNP says cadaver from Gapan uncircumcised, boosts DNA findings

The Philippine National Police on Tuesday presented another evidence that the body with almost 30 stab wound fished out of Gapan, Nueva Ecija last week isn't that of 14-year-old Reynaldo "Kulot" De Guzman.

PNP spokesman Chief Superintendent Dionardo Carlos said the recovered body wasn't circumcised while De Guzman, according to his brother, was circumcised.

The official said the family should return the body to Gapan after DNA testing by the PNP Crime Laboratory indicated that it wasn't a "biological offspring" of De Guzman's parents.

"What is glaring now is the inputs given by the brothers which is they found the cadaver to be uncircumcised when they know pretty well that Kulot is circumcised. So isa yan tingnan din nila yan at the end of the day," Carlos said.

Carlos said police would have to investigate the death of the boy with more than 30 stab wounds.

"Since it’s not their biological offspring, No. 1, ibabalik natin yung bangkay doon sa huling pinagkunan at tuloy ang pagiimbistiga. Sino itong bangkay na ito bakit ito pinatay," Carlos said.

"Also part of the question, bakit meron yang 20 mahigit na saksak. Kaya gusto naming makita yung autopsy repor that the NBI conducted on the cadaver.  Dapat po itama natin," he added. —Margaret Claire Layug/NB, GMA News
