Authorities bust ‘drug operation’ in Cotabato college; 3 nabbed

Authorities arrested on Sunday three drug suspects in an operation conducted inside a school compound in Arakan, Cotabato.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) identified identified the suspects as Anwar Mulana alias Astron, Gerry Miclat, and Jojo Gaspar.

Joint anti-drugs and intelligence operatives of the police, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the military arrested the three during a raid inside the compound of the Cotabato Foundation College of Science & Technology (CFCST) in Barangay Doluman.

The PDEA, meanwhile, said manhunt operations are ongoing against Samson Molao, president of the CFCST, for his supposed involvement in the drug operation at the school.

The raid was conducted by virtue of search warrants issued by the Kabakan Regional Trial Court Branch 16 for violation of Section 6 or the maintenance of a drug den under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

The operatives seized 25 sachets of suspected shabu, a weighing scale and several drug paraphernalia, four M16 rifle, seven shotguns, one M14 rifle, an AK 47, one KG-9 sub-machine gun, and three .45 pistols. —ALG, GMA News
