Mayon eruptions to delay close of classes in affected Albay schools

A one-week delay in the closing of classes for the School Year 2017-2018 of schools affected by the recent Mayon Volcano eruptions is expected.

Super Radyo dzBB quoted Undersecretary Jesus Mateo as saying that closing of classes might be delayed for a week as makeup classes are ongoing at schools affected by the eruption of Albay's Mayon Volcano.

He said that several classes had been suspended during the series of intermittent eruptions that had dragged on for weeks.

Also, Mateo said that some school buildings that were used as evacuation centers have yet to be cleared.
