Pangolin meat, scales and tortoises seized in Palawan

Several kilos of pangolin meat, scales and tortoises were confiscated by authorities at a checkpoint in Sta. Lourdes, Puerto Princesa City in Palawan, according to the report of Katrina Son on State of the Nation with Jessica Soho.

Investigation is ongoing.

The confiscated items were turned over to the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development.

Pangolin scales are usually used in Chinese traditional medicine.
