Air Force plane catches fire at Clark airport


A Philippine Air Force C-130 aircraft caught fire while trying to take off at the Clark International Airport in Pampanga on Wednesday morning, according to a report on Super Radyo dzBB.

The fire erupted on the right side of the aircraft, near the landing gear at around 7:00 a.m., the report added.

Air Force spokesperson Major Aries Galang said no one was hurt in the incident and firemen from the airport immediately controlled the fire.

The plane is still parked at the airport, while investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the incident. — Joviland Rita/MDM, GMA News
