Girlfriend of Jang Lucero allegedly abducted by armed men in Laguna —police

The girlfriend of Jang Lucero, the female driver who rented out her car and was stabbed to death in Laguna, was allegedly abducted in Bay town on Wednesday, police said. 

In a phone interview with GMA News Online, Laguna Police Public Information Office chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Citadel Gaoiran said more or less 10 armed men forcibly took Meyah Amatorio and a relative at their family compound.

"Based po sa report ng Bay, allegedly about mga 12:20 p.m. doon sa may Barangay Calo... ito pong si Adrian Ramos y Amatorio at si Meyah Amatorio ay diumano dinukot ng sampung mga kalalakihan," Gaoiran said. 

The relatives of Amatorio reported the incident to authorities, he said.

Police are now checking if there are other witnesses to the incident and if there are CCTV footage that can be used as evidence. 

Gaoiran said police are investigating if the incident is related to the slay of Lucero last June. 

"Tinitingnan po natin kung related ba ito o ano 'yung motibo," Gaoiran said.

Lucero's body with stab wounds was found inside her car in Calamba, Laguna hours after she picked up passengers who booked her services to drive them allegedly to Gil Puyat in Metro Manila. —KG/NB, GMA News
