Fil-Am makes it to finals of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’

A Filipina-American dancer who has been a top pick among judges and viewers alike since day one has made it to the finals of the dance competition show So You Think You Can Dance after performing a perfect hip-hop routine.

Hannahlei Cabanilla performed with Season 10 winner Fik-Shun to Move Something by DJ Quik & Problem as part of the last competitive live show for the series' 15th season.

Cabanilla's performance was highly rated by all, especially by actress Vanessa Hudgens, who called the 18-year-old dancer a "fierce warrior princess."

Hudgens said had supported her "fellow Filipina" from the start, while her fellow judges Nigel Lythgoe and Twitch were rendered nearly speechless by Cabanilla's dance.

Accredited dance judge Mary Murphy even worried that Cabanilla's chances may be hurt because of how she made "all the intricate movement" she performed "look so easy."
