Militants try to deliver letter for ‘Yolanda victims’ at Nunciature
A group of militants on Thursday tried to get to the Apostolic Nunciature in Manila at noon Thursday to deliver a letter to Pope Francis.
But security personnel pushed the militants back before they could get near the facility, radio dzBB's Glen Juego reported.
"Maghahatid kami ng sulat kay Pope. Tagahatid kami ng mensahe, gusto naming humingi ng katarungan para sa biktima ng Yolanda," said the militants.
Pope Francis will be staying at the Apostolic Nunciature during his stay in the Philippines.

Super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) devastated the Visayas in 2013, leaving more than 6,300 dead in its wake.
Pope Francis, who is to arrive Thursday afternoon, is to have lunch in Palo town in Leyte on Saturday with some survivors of recent calamities.
The dzBB report said the militants eventually gave a copy of their letter to police guarding the nunciature, where the Pope will stay during his five-day visit.
