Pope Francis in 2nd Filipino tweet: Protect the family

Pope Francis on Friday evening posted his second tweet in Filipino, this time reminding Filipinos of the value of the family to the country.

 

In his tweet, the Pope said the family is the "greatest treasure of any country," and urged the faithful to protect and strengthen it.

 

Ang pamilya ay ang pinakamahalagang kayamanan ng isang bansa. Naway pagsikapan nating ipagtanggol at patatagin itong pundasyon ng lipunan.

He also tweeted an English translation of the message.

The tweet was posted after Pope Francis met with Filipino families at the SM Mall of Asia Arena early Friday night.
