New Star Wars: First Assault game in the works?


Attention "Star Wars" gaming fans: "Star Wars First Assault" may be coming soon.
 
LucasFilm has secretly registered “Star Wars: First Assault” domain names like StarWarsFirstAssault.com, tech site Fusible.com reported.
 
"It was suspected that the names had something to do with a yet-to-be announced video game project," it said.
 
Lucasfilms has since filed two more new trademark applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office in recent days, it said.
 
On August 23, Lucasfilm Entertainment Co. Ltd. filed trademarks for “First Assault” (Serial Number: 85711610) and “Star Wars: First Assault” (Serial Number: 85711618).
 
"Both applications cover the same goods and services which, among other things, includes 'Entertainment services provided on-line by means of global and local area networks, namely, providing interactive computer games and interactive video games,'" it said.
 
The patents also applied to books, calendars, children's books, comic books and magazines, gift books, graphic novels, and printed instructional manuals and strategy guides in the field of computer games.
 
Other items covered by the patent applications include a wide range of merchandise including toys, magazines, planners and organizers, pencil cases and pencil sharpeners, pencils, pens, posters, puzzle books, sticker books and stickers, temporary tattoos, and trading cards.
 
The applications likewise covered online entertainment services such as interactive computer games and interactive video games.
 
So far, Fusible.com said LucasArts "has yet to announce anything official." — TJD, GMA News
