Light to moderate rain expected over Luzon areas – PAGASA

Weather service PAGASA reported in a Wednesday morning forecast that a low-pressure area (LPA) was 350 kilometers east of Casiguran, Aurora at 3 a.m.

The LPA would bring cloudy conditions with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms, which in turn may cause floods and landslides, over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, the Cordillera Administrative Region, the Cagayan Valley Region, and Calabarzon.

The rest of the country would meanwhile be partly cloudy to cloudy with afternoon or evening isolated rainshowers.

Winds would be moderate to strong from the northeast to northwest over northern and Central Luzon, with moderate to rough coastal waters.

Over southern Luzon and the Eastern Visayas, winds would be moderate to occasionally strong from the northeast to northwest, with moderate to occasionally rough seas.

Finally, winds over Mindanao and the Western and Central Visayas would be light to moderate from the  northwest to west, with slight to moderate coastal waters. — DVM, GMA News
