Showers expected over eastern PHL areas – PAGASA


The Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, and Quezon would experience cloudy conditions with scattered to widespread rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the tail-end of a cold front, weather service PAGASA reported in a Tuesday morning forecast.

The tail-end of a cold front would aslo bring cloudy conditions with scattered rain and isolated thunderstorms over Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and Rizal.

Mindanao, Mimaropa, and the rest of Visayas would meanwhile be cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to a low-pressure area trough.

The northeast monsoon would bring cloudy conditions and scattered rain over Metro Manila, the Cagayan Valley Region, and Aurora; and partly cloudy to cloudy conditions and isolated light rain over the rest of Central Luzon, and the Cordillera and Ilocos Regions.

Winds would be moderate to strong from the northeast to north over Luzon and the Eastern Visayas, where coastal waters would be moderate to rough.

Finally, winds over Mindanao and the rest of Visayas would be moderate to occasionally strong form the northeast to northwest, with moderate to occasionally rough coastal waters. — DVM, GMA News
