Agaton exits PHL Area of Responsibility —PAGASA

Tropical Storm Agaton is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), state weather bureau PAGASA said on Wednesday.

In its 2 p.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA spotted Agaton 440 kilometers west northwest of Puerto Princesa, Palawan, packing maximum sustained winds of up to 65 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 80 kph.

PAGASA said Agaton was moving west at 25 kph.

The weather bureau warned residents of the Bicol Region and the provinces of Rizal, Aurora and Quezon to be alert against possible flooding and landslides due to moderate to heavy rains brought by the tail-end of the cold front.

PAGASA also advised that sea travel would be risky over the seaboards of Northern Luzon and Southern Luzon, eastern seaboard of Central Luzon, eastern and western seaboards of Visayas and eastern seaboard of Mindanao due to the surge of northeast monsoon. — Anna Felicia Bajo/MDM, GMA News
