Yellow rainfall warning up over Bataan, Cavite, Batangas


PAGASA raised the yellow rainfall warning on Saturday morning over parts of Bataan, Cavite, and Batangas, advising residents of these areas of heavy rainfall.

The areas affected are Bagac and Mariveles in Bataan; Ternate, Maragondon, Naic, and Tanza in Cavite; and Nasugbu, Lian, Calatagan, Balayan, and Tuy in Batangas.

Heavy rainfall measuring 7.5 mm/hour to 15 mm/hr is seen in these areas which may continue for the next three hours from 7 a.m., the time the yellow rainfall warning was raised.

PAGASA said flooding is possible in low-lying areas and near river channels in these areas.

In San Antonio and Subic in Zambales, meanwhile, light to moderate rains are seen to persist within two to three hours.

Residents of Metro Manila and other areas of Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, and Batangas will have light to moderate rains within the next two to three hours.

PAGASA advised the public and disaster risk reduction and management councils concerned to take the necessary precautions. —KG, GMA News
