Rain forecast for Visayas, Mindanao due to LPA

A low-pressure area (LPA) is expected to bring rain throughout the Visayas and Mindanao regions on Tuesday.

According to the weather forecast of meteorologist Nathaniel Cruz on 24 Oras on Monday, the LPA was located 250 kilometers east of General Santos City.

Metraweather's wind map showed that the LPA will likely cross Mindanao and move towards the Sulu Sea, east of Palawan.

The LPA may develop into a tropical depression in the following days.

Residents of Visayas and Mindanao were advised to be alert for possible landslides and flash floods.

Luzon will experience pleasant weather on Tuesday except for the provinces of Quezon, Aurora, Mindoro, and Palawan, which may be affected by rain in the afternoon.

Metro Manila will also see fair weather in the morning with scattered rains in some areas in the afternoon. — Dona Magsino/BM, GMA News
