Cloudy skies, isolated rainshowers of Metro Manila


The northeasterly surface windflow will continue to prevail over Luzon on Thursday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and Cagayan Valley will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains brought about by the northeasterly surface windflow.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

The weather bureau warns the public that flash floods and landslides may occur during severe thunderstorm.

Meanwhile, PAGASA is monitoring an active tropical cyclone, which is outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Typhoon Bualoi is located 2,120 kilometers east-northeast of extreme northern Luzon with maximum sustained wings of 165 kilometers per hour with gustiness of up to 205 kph as it moves northward at 30 kph.

The forecast wind speed in the extreme northern Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The forecast wind speed in the Visayas and the rest of Luzon is light to moderate moving in the northeast to east direction with coastal waters that are slight to moderate.

In Mindanao, the forecast wind speed moving light to moderate moving eastward with slight to moderate coastal waters. — BAP, GMA News
