P2P airport bus company launches new routes from NAIA to Alabang, Sta. Rosa, Laguna

Point-to-point (P2P) airport bus company UBE Express on Thursday launched new routes that would ferry passengers to and from the airport, Muntinlupa, and Laguna.

According to Bam Alegre's report on News To Go, passengers from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) bound for Muntinlupa may now opt to ride P2P buses.

From the airport, passengers may alight in two malls in Alabang in Muntinlupa.

Fare costs P110 for a 45-minute ride via the Skyway.

The NAIA-Sta. Rosa, Laguna route was also introduced for a fare of P190.

The trip may take one hour and 30 minutes and P2P passengers may get off at two malls in Sta. Rosa.

Each P2P bus has a 24 to 32 passenger-capacity.

According to the Department of Transportation, all buses are Euro-5 compliant, fully air-conditioned and equipped with a global positioning system (GPS) technology, WiFi connection, CCTV cameras, and with adequate luggage racks and compartments.

The buses have low-floor entry, with wheelchair ramps to provide easy access for persons with disabilities.

The aforementioned routes are new additions to the P2P bus company's existing lines bound for Intramuros, Makati, and Roxas Boulevard, among others.

P2P bus companies are also discussing plans to establish a single terminal where all offered point-to-point routes are available for the commuters. — Dona Magsino/MDM, GMA News
