Manny Pacquiao named one of the world's sexiest men by Salon.com

News and entertainment Web site Salon.com has listed boxer and Sarangani Congressman Manny Pacquiao as one of the world's sexiest men. In the introduction to Salon's Sexiest Men of 2011 list, the staff wrote: "We’ve always sought out men who have accomplished something significant, but this year—a year of continuing strife and national protest— that aim felt more important than ever. These men are making the world better with their art, activism and passion." Salon.com picked 13 men for their list. Pacquiao was ranked eighth. The list included Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke in third place. Part of Salon.com's write-up about Pacquiao reads: "Outside the ring, the boxer — with the Bieber-esque moptop — has an ability to croon romantic ballads that's just as deadly. It's unlikely for a man with ferocious fists to know his way around a love song. But even hotter? Pacquiao has a humanitarian side that hasn’t been seen in any boxer since Muhammad Ali. In his native Philippines, Pacquiao is considered the greatest national icon in the world (beating out Nelson Mandela, including all others)." -- Spot.ph
