Mocha denies spreading 'fake news,' dares critics to show her real ones

Performer and celebrity blogger and now Movie and Television Review And Classification Board (MTRCB) official Mocha Uson on Friday addressed accusations that she spreads fake news through her blog.

In an interview with radio dzBB, Uson asserted that she's careful about what she posts on her Facebook page, which has an over 4-million-strong following.

"Maingat po ako. Responsable po ako," she said.

Uson further placed the burden of proof on her critics, stating that they should back their claims and, additionally, show her the "real news."

"If they are accusing me of spreading fake news, patunayan nila," Uson asserted. "Pakita nila sa akin 'yung totoong news."

Uson on Thursday was appointed as a board member of the MTRCB, following her stint as an ambassadress for the recently concluded Metro Manila Film Festival. She heavily campaign for President Rodrigo Duterte during the 2016 elections. —Aya Tantiangco/KBK, GMA News
