Lea Michele of 'Glee' fame meets, excitedly exchanges tweets with idol Lea Salonga

She’s just like us!

Lea Michele, most popularly known for her work in TV musical ‘Glee’ shared with her 4.99 million Twitter followers how excited she was to see the Broadway production of “Once on This Island.”

A few hours after the tweet, Michele went back in on the social media channel with a series of photos with the cast, starting with our very own Lea Salonga.

“I’ve been a fan of Lea Salonga since I was a little girl…so incredible seeing her today in Once on this Island,” Michele writes, tagging Salonga.

Salonga quickly replied: “Thank you for joining us, Lea! It’s not often I meet a namesake, so today was very special. Big fan of yours, too!”

Michele also met and posed for photos with other cast members like Alex Newell and Norm Lewis. She posted those and tagged them but suppose none were as social media savvy as Lea Salonga.
